Cellar Door Plans Approved
Our plans to build a new function room for GRAZING restaurant and convert the historic Cobb & Co Stables into our Cellar Door have been approved by Yass Council.
Our tasting rooms will include a regional Epicurean Centre, which highlights the produce of our region. GRAZING has been a leader in the promotion of local food and wine since it opened in 2003. The first GRAZING wine list had 75 Canberra District wines listed.
The Federal Government awarded Capital Wines a TQUAL grant toward building this facility. This was in recognition of the significant economic benefit that visitor numbers would have on the region.
Visitors to the cellar door will be able to experience tastings of wine and food together as well as enjoy a cafe menu and an extensive selection of produce for sale.
Chef Tom Moore, who has just won 'Young Restaurateur of the Year" at the Appetite for excellence awards will be working with us to oversee the Epicurean Centre menus. A range of educational programs will be on offer and visitors will be able to book in for cooking, wine and other masterclasses.
The new function room will be a unique venue within the region for weddings, conferences and other events.
